Option X — double-rod + thin shoe shelf
- Drawer: 12" tall (one row, 2 drawer faces)
- Shoe shelf: 8" of clearance — sneakers and loafers fit; tall boots get rejected
- Lower rod @ 50" — shirts hang to ~22"
- Upper rod @ 80" — shirts hang to ~52"
- Capacity: ~14-17 shirts per rod = 30+ shirts total
Option Y — single rod + tall shoe shelf
- Drawer: 12" tall (one row, 2 drawer faces)
- Shoe shelf: 12" of clearance — fits sneakers, loafers, AND boots
- Single rod @ 78" — shirts hang to ~50", room for any-length shirts incl. long flannels
- Capacity: ~14-17 shirts on the single rod
- Trade-off: half the shirt capacity, but fits boots and longer items cleanly
