Dead Zone Access — 3 Options
~26 sq ft behind the left cab.
Direct answer to your question: Yes — pulling the right cab fully out gives access to the rightmost ~20" of the dead zone. The other ~37" is still blocked by the left cab. The 3 options below all solve that gap differently.
Option A — walk-in via pulloutRECOMMENDED
Pros
Full access — you can stand inside the dead zone
Shelving holds bulky items (luggage, totes, off-season gear)
Left cab stays compact (14") — preserves the simple build
Cons
Have to roll the pullout fully out to access
Right pullout needs 60" full-extension slides (manageable)
Option B — extend left cab deeper
Pros
Massive storage gain — dead zone becomes drawers/shelves
All access from the front, same doors
Deep drawers great for sweaters, bedding, off-season storage
Cons
Much bigger build — more lumber + drawer slides
Reaching the back of a 46" cabinet is awkward (need pullouts inside)
Roof valley starts to bite into upper-back corners (some notching)
Option C — hinged backdoor
Pros
Cheapest build — left cab stays 14", just adds a hinged back
Cubby holds bulky items you don't need often
No impact on right pullout
Cons
Reach-in only — can't see the back of the cubby easily
Have to move things in front of the panel to access
Awkward for daily use
